Meet Galen, a handsome young Jack Russell Terrier mix with a gentle heart and a quiet, sensitive nature. At around 2 years old, Galen has had a very sheltered start to life and is still learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. New people, unfamiliar environments, and everyday experiences can feel overwhelming for him, so he is searching for a calm, patient home where he can move at his own pace. With kindness, reassurance, and time, Galen slowly begins to show his sweet personality, and watching his confidence grow will be incredibly rewarding for the right family.

Galen has lived with many other dogs, however he can be dominant and may bully other dogs, so he would be best suited as the only pet or with experienced owners who can carefully manage introductions and boundaries. Because of his limited exposure to the outside world, he may also be fearful of traffic, busy areas, and public walks, and will need gentle guidance as he learns to navigate these new experiences. In the right home, with understanding and patience, Galen has every chance to blossom into a loyal, loving companion who will form a deep bond with his people.
