Mulga is one of seven beautiful puppies from ARK’s Country Litter, born on 3 March 2026.
His dad is a stunning purebred Maremma and his mum is a lovely brown Cattle Dog mix, and Mulga has inherited a gorgeous blend of both sides of the family. With his fluffy black coat, soulful eyes and soft expression, he has the look of a little bear cub — gentle, thoughtful and completely irresistible.
Mulga has inherited the soft, fluffy coat and teddy bear features of the Maremma side of the family, combined with subtle white markings that hint at his Cattle Dog heritage. His foster mum says his coat is unbelievably soft — the kind of puppy you can’t help but keep cuddling. He is expected to mature into a lovely medium-sized dog.
Mulga is a sweet, sensitive little puppy with a slightly reserved nature when first meeting new people or experiencing new situations. He is not the boldest puppy in the litter, but once he feels safe and comfortable, his affectionate side shines through beautifully. He absolutely adores one-on-one attention, cuddles and quiet affection, and forms lovely bonds with the people caring for him.
Like all puppies, Mulga is still learning about the world around him and will need ongoing training, socialisation and guidance as he grows. Because he is a slightly softer, more thoughtful puppy, he will thrive with kind, patient people who will help build his confidence gently and positively.
Given his Maremma and Cattle Dog heritage, Mulga is likely to mature into a loyal, intelligent and devoted companion. He is not suited to being left alone for long periods with little interaction. He will flourish in a home where he is included as part of the family and allowed to build close relationships with his people.
Mulga will be adopted under ARK’s Deferred Desexing Program, which includes desexing when age appropriate, subject to the terms and conditions of the adoption contract.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
