About Mikki & Monty
Meet Mikki & Monty – Two Handsome Boys Looking for Their Forever Home 🐱💕
We’re looking for a very special forever home for Mikki and Monty, two sweet, gentle boys who sadly need a new family after their beloved owner passed away.
Mikki and Monty have been lovingly cared for by kind neighbours and friends since their owner sadly passed, but they’ve mostly been living outdoors and keeping to themselves while waiting for their next chapter. Their owner’s son returns from overseas in June, at which point they will be brought into our care. In the meantime, they’re safely at their home in Elsternwick.
Both boys are sweet, kind, and non-aggressive. They’re adventurous outdoor cats who are highly independent and wonderfully low-maintenance. They eat whatever is offered without fuss, never beg for food, and are easy to please. While they enjoy each other’s company, they’re not overly dependent on one another and can happily hang out by themselves and do their own thing.
Mikki – The Relaxed Cuddle King
Mikki the 9 year old is a gorgeous, confident grey boy with loads of character. He’s affectionate and relaxed — the type who will happily greet visitors, roll over for belly rubs, and claim a spot on the bed or couch with you. He loves exploring the garden, soaking up sunshine, and then coming inside for snuggles. He’s full of personality and individuality, and once settled he makes friends easily.
Monty – The Beautiful Gentle Soul
Monty the 4 year old is a smaller, stunning cross-eyed Tonkinese with classic rich brown fur. He’s placid, eccentric, and incredibly sweet once he trusts you. Because he wasn’t heavily socialised as a kitten, he can be timid at first and will need patience and time to come out of his shell. In the right calm environment, he forms very strong, loving bonds with his people. He’s never scratched, sprayed, or shown any antisocial behaviour and is a true gentle boy.
Important notes for their ideal home:
A quiet household with a safe, significant outdoor space (fully secure garden preferred) in a calm neighbourhood
No dogs and no loud young children — they’re not used to noisy environments
Patient, experienced cat owners who understand that it may take them a little time to adjust after living outdoors for the past couple of months (they’ll settle beautifully with love, routine, and security)
Plenty of outdoor access combined with the safety of a loving home
Mikki and Monty are easy-going boys who will thrive once they feel safe and settled again. They’ll reward the right family with gentle companionship, quirky personalities, and years of quiet affection.
If you have a peaceful home with a great garden and you’re looking for two wonderful feline companions, these boys would love to meet you.
Ready to give Mikki and Monty the stable, loving forever home they deserve?
Please send us a message, they can’t wait to start their next happy chapter with you!
Mikki is approximately 9 years old while Monty is approximately 4 years old. Both have been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated and will be available for adoption in June.
If you think you have the room in your heart and your home to provide these gorgeous souls with a great life please let us know and we’ll be more than happy to arrange a time for you to meet and fall in love with them.
Located in Maribyrnong.
To express your interest please send us a message with your details and we will give you a call as soon as we can to discuss.
About Us
Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.
Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.
Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.
As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.
Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
How You Can Help
As a small, independent rescue, we depend entirely on the kindness and generosity of our supporters and animal lovers like you. If you would like to support our mission and help us save more lives, please visit the donations page on our website. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference.
We’d also love to connect with you on social media:

Following and sharing our pages helps us reach more potential adopters and supporters. If we can grow our audience, we’ll be able to generate a small ongoing income to sustain and expand the rescue.
We are always in need of foster carers. If you have a safe, loving temporary home and would like to help us care for a cat on their journey to their forever family, please get in touch. The more foster homes we have, the more cats we can save.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about Urban Feline Australia.
Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of many beautiful cats. 💙

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward while at the same time making sure we are matching the right cat to the right home.
The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are able meet the cats needs and your home is a good fit for the cats personality.
From there we will organize a meet and greet the cats foster home where you will be able to see the cat in action and get a gauge of their personality.
Once you have adopted you new furry feline friend we offer ongoing support and you are welcome to contact us anytime if you have questions, concerns or need advice.
We work hard to make sure that each cat is a good fit for their new home but in the unlikely even that things do not work out we have a 21 day cooling off period and you are more than welcome to return the cat to us during that time.
We will happily refund 50% of the adoption fee or you are welcome to donate this refund to assist with the ongoing cost of the animals care.
