Meet Bonnie: Your Chatty, Gentle Soulmate! 🐱💕

Hi there! I’m Bonnie, an 8-year-old gorgeous girl with the sweetest personality and the most expressive little voice you’ll ever hear. My previous owner says I’m caring, patient, and full of love, and I’m ready to share all of it with my new forever family.

I’m quite the conversationalist. I’ll greet you with a bright “Mraat!” every morning (that means “Good Morning, human!”). When you walk through the door I hit you with a happy “Mraaat!” (“You’re home! Finally!”). And late at night you might hear my very serious “Mraaat!” which clearly translates to “Turn off that TV and go to bed already, what time do you think this is?!”

I’m gentle and respectful. I might curl up at the end of your bed (with plenty of personal space so I can make a graceful exit if things get too lively), but I’m also perfectly happy in my own cosy bed at night.

I’m light and agile, so you’ll often find me perched elegantly on the top of the couch cushions, the armrest, or right beside you, I’m a “next to you” girl, not a lap cat.

Important Bonnie Rules:

I’m not a fan of being picked up.
But if all four paws are planted firmly on the floor, bed, or chair? I will happily melt into the best head scratches and pats of your life.

I thrive best in a calm, loving home where at least some of my humans are around during the day so I don’t get too introverted. I’ve been living with my sister cat and I’d be totally fine with another gentle cat friend.

I’d also make an amazing companion for a single person or a family with kids, as long as the children know I prefer gentle pats and sweet talk over being scooped up.
I have zero health issues and I’m just an all-round beautiful, affectionate girl who will win your heart in no time.

If you’re looking for a soft-spoken (well… softly chatty), low-drama, loving companion who will keep you entertained with her opinions and melt you with her sweetness, I might just be your perfect match.

About Us

Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.

Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.

Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.

As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.

All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.

Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
