Acacia is one of seven beautiful puppies from ARK’s Country Litter, born on 3 March 2026.
Her dad is a gorgeous purebred Maremma and her mum is a Cattle Dog with a rich brown coat. Acacia is an especially striking puppy because she has inherited the fluffy coat and soft features of the Maremma side of the family, but taken her colouring from her mum. The result is what can only be described as a “black Maremma” look — complete with a beautiful white ticked chest that gives a subtle nod to her Cattle Dog heritage.
Acacia weighed 6 kg on 28 April 2026 and is expected to mature into a lovely medium-sized dog.
Her foster mum affectionately calls her “Fluffy” because she is incredibly soft — “like an actual Teddy Bear.” She is a big sook who absolutely adores cuddles and affection, happily soaking up one-on-one attention whenever it is offered. At the same time, she is no shrinking violet and can more than hold her own during puppy play with her brothers. She is energetic, playful and full of personality.
Like all puppies, Acacia is still learning about the world around her. She enjoys cuddles, puppy treats, adventures and spending time with her littermates. She will need a home prepared to continue her socialisation, training and guidance as she grows into adulthood.
Given her Maremma and Cattle Dog heritage, Acacia is likely to mature into an intelligent, loyal and affectionate companion. She will thrive in a home where she is included as part of the family and given companionship, structure and positive guidance. She is not a puppy to be left alone in the backyard to entertain herself. She needs people who will invest time and love into helping her become the wonderful dog she is already showing herself to be.
Acacia will be adopted under ARK’s Deferred Desexing Program, which includes desexing when age appropriate, subject to the terms and conditions of the adoption contract.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
