About Rune

Rune seems to believe life is meant to be explored, preferably alongside his beloved bigger foster feline brothers. Whether the big kittens are racing down the hallway, investigating mysterious noises, or getting into typical teenager mischief, Rune loves to follow them. If the big boys are doing it, Rune is doing it too, and usually with extra enthusiasm.
Out of his litter, Rune is definitely the adventurer. He’s curious, outgoing, and affectionate. He can start off slightly shy, he is still a small boy after all, but once he knows his humans, he is always ready for pats, cuddles, or a snack. Especially a snack. This little guy takes mealtimes very seriously and arrives with the confidence of someone who thinks the bowl belongs to him.
In addition to his playful side, Rune is also wonderfully gentle, sweet natured, and drawn to humans once he knows them. He has been fostered with dogs and has taken it all in stride, happily napping in the same bed and coexisting as long as they respect his boundaries, if he chooses to apply them. He’s also shown lovely manners with older cats, making him an easy addition to the right home.
Rune absolutely thrives with feline companionship, so he will need to be adopted into a home with an existing confident, playful cat who’d love a best mate following them around all day, or with one of his equally gorgeous (and near identical) siblings, sweet Clea or thoughtful little Echo (listed separately). He doesn't like loud noises, which makes him better suited for adult only homes, or families with teenage children who understand Rune's boundaries.
If you are looking to add a kitten to your household who will first steal your heart and then make you laugh, Rune might just be your perfect match.

Please email us at adoptions@heartandsoulrescue.com.au if you are interested in adopting one of our precious souls, and we will email you our Adoption Application Form.
Once we have received your completed form, we will then contact you to discuss suitability. If we feel one of our cats or kittens will be suited to you, we will arrange a home visit or ask for a short walk-through video of your home.
If all goes well, we will give you a *trial period of 2 weeks to see if our cat or kitten is the right one for you 💕 *Conditions apply - We reserve the right to reject a full refund if recommendations & requests regarding your new cat/kitten have not been adhered to. (a 25% admin fee will apply)
