Parlez-vous français? If not, my name translates to Mister Black. This is because I am a handsome full-black gentleman (ok, maybe a little salt mixed into my pepper - I’m not exactly a spring kitten anymore).

I am a gentle little shadow, lurking around and getting along with almost everyone - I’m just not a fan of dogs. If you sit with me in a quiet place, I’ll either headbutt you for pats or curl up for a nap in a comfy spot.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
The children I’ve met have been okay - they were told I prefer quiet and they were on their best behaviour just giving me all of the face rubs I could want.

I am in foster with 5 little kittens and am so very gentle with them even when they jump all over me. I give a low grumble to keep them away from my food bowl and have once had to place my paw on one’s face to keep it away from me, but my claws were retracted.

My foster dad found it hilarious, so I know I was being gentle enough. My time with them is supervised, as I am FIV positive, even though the vet said it is very low risk of transmission.

Mum brought me into her workplace once to meet some dogs, but I am soooooo not a fan!

I don’t just like face rubs, I LOVE them! Oh, and FOOD! Any food. My food, the kitten food that gives me stinky runny poos, I won’t eat my human’s food, but I really want to…

I dislike bright lights that make me too visible, as I am a master of shadows, being a black cat. Loud noises can give me a jump sometimes if I’m not expecting them. In-arm cuddles are tolerated, but not my favourite.

My PURR-fect home would be a lovely retired person/persons home with a nice comfy hiding nook and maybe another cat around to show me the lay of the land - or just solo so I can get all of the pats and food.

Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.

Medical Notes: Monsiour Noir has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) which is a virus that can affect his immune system, however, he can still potentially live a long healthy life. FIV is transmitted through deep bite wounds. Due to his FIV Monsiour Noir will need to be an indoor only cat. FIV cats can live harmoniously with other cats however slow introductions are required to ensure they do not fight.
