About Tracey

Cyclone Tracey 🌀🧡
Beautiful girl Tracey might look like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth... but this little miss is less sugar and a lot more spice! 🌶️
Tracey is looking for just the right home - we know it's out there; maybe it's you she's looking for?!
Approximately 2 year old Tracey has not had an easy life. It truly has been a pleasure to watch her undergo an incredible transformation. She has been in care for 6 months now and is virtually unrecognisable from when she arrived.
Whilst her physical evolution has been remarkable, she's still working on her sociability.
Tracey is comfortable being right up close to people but still hates to be touched. She doesn't like to lash out, instead trying her very best to run or get away, but she will give you a swipe if you're not getting the message to give her space.
Tracey needs an indoor only home with a family that's patient and understanding.
She's not a lap cat or a cuddly cat or a cat who loves pats.
She's a wise and strong woman who values personal space and mutual respect and slow movements.
She needs a family who will let her go entirely at her own pace - understanding that this might mean it takes her months or years to build her confidence.
When she arrived, Tracey was incredibly sick with cat flu.
She was skinny and filthy and riddled with fleas. And she was pregnant.
We made the difficult decision to terminate Tracey's pregnancy, knowing that her body was barely able to support itself let alone care for babies and recognising that they would almost certainly face serious illness and constant struggles if born.
Tracey had never been handled by people prior to coming into care; she lived in squalid conditions, close enough to people but never part of a family
She required medication and syringe feeding, which she fought at every turn. I genuinely didn't know if she was going to survive. To be honest, I think at times she only stayed alive out of spite 😅
But live she did and now she's the picture of health with bright eyes and a glistening coat.
Tracey is tolerant of other cats but mostly keeps to herself and does her own thing.
She's not a huge fan of dogs but if they ignore her, she'll ignore them.
She's very tidy with her litter tray and is a perfect little housemate.
Tracey is not going to suit every home but, again, we know there's a home out there that she WILL fit into.
If you think it's your home, I'd love to hear from you.
