Legend tells of a chosen one... a hero with a big heart, an eager spirit, and a wiggly tail. That hero is... Po!
This 4-month-old Staffy pup may not have mastered kung fu just yet, but he's well on his way to becoming a loyal companion worthy of any family's inner circle.
About Po
Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Age: 4 months
Colour: White with a striking brindle eye patch
Personality: Friendly, social, affectionate, and eager to learn
Like his namesake from Kung Fu Panda, Po started life as an underdog (or under-pup!), but his potential is shining through more each day. With his playful energy and kind nature, he's ready to step into his role as your very own "Dragon Warrior."
Training & Temperament
Po has already begun his training journey at BARC:
✅ Learning his basic obedience
✅ Shows a strong willingness to please
✅ Food-motivated (of course... a true Po trait!)
He thrives with positive reinforcement and will flourish in a home committed to continuing his training. With consistency, he's sure to master all the moves-"sit," "stay," and maybe even "skadoosh!"
Social Skills
Very dog-friendly - Po loves making new canine friends
Enjoys playtime and companionship
Would suit a home with another friendly dog or an active family
As a young pup, Po will benefit from ongoing socialisation to ensure he grows into a confident, well-rounded adult dog.
Ideal Home
Po is looking for a home that can offer:
A safe, secure yard
Plenty of daily exercise and enrichment
Time and commitment to ongoing training and development
Lots of love (this is non-negotiable!)
He is still a puppy, so normal puppy behaviours (chewing, zoomies, learning boundaries) are all part of the package. But with guidance, patience, and love, he'll become an incredible companion.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
