Simba

Simba would like it formally noted that first impressions are not always accurate.

When Simba first arrived at the shelter, he seemed shy and unsure of himself. Fast forward a little while and it turns out he is actually a social, affectionate guy who very much enjoys people, pats, snacks, and being involved in whatever is happening around him. He's the kind of cat who wants to engage with his humans and has really blossomed once given time, understanding, and a bit of routine.

Like many intelligent and energetic cats, Simba can sometimes get a little overexcited, especially when high value treats or play are involved. Since settling in, Simba has consistently shown friendly, affectionate behaviours and has been making excellent progress every day.

What Simba really needs is a home that understands cats are not robots. He'll thrive with people who can give him choice and control with interactions, plenty of playtime, enrichment activities, tasty snacks, and daily attention. In return, you'll get a cat with loads of personality, a playful streak, and a genuinely sweet nature.

Simba is looking for a home where he can keep building confidence, enjoy life at his own pace, and continue his journey from misunderstood newcomer to adored family member. Underneath it all is a lovely cat who just wants connection, fun, and a comfy place to call home.
