About Pumpkin
Pumpkin is the ultimate lap cat. If you're in a different room, chances are she's not far behind. If there's one thing she doesn't like, it's if she feels like she hasn't had enough cuddle time.
Pumpkin came into care with 6 kittens in tow. Now that they've all headed off to their own forever homes and foster homes, it's all about her! She's gone from scared and confused to little miss confident. She owns all she surveys.
She loves watching TV, either with her people or on her own. Those moving things on the screen are fascinating. But she likes watching TV from the comfort of a lap the most.
She's not a huge fan of dogs, but she's ok with other cats provided she's properly introduced. Her foster home doesn't have any kids, but we think she'd be fine with kids. She's pretty easygoing.
Really Pumpkin would be great in any home where there is enough lap time available to keep her satisfied. If you work from home and want a warmer lap, then Pumpkin is the girl for you!

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
