About Deboo
Deboo is a desexed male Persian available for adoption in Glen Waverley (Melbourne, VIC).
Deboo is a cat who has figured out the good life and is happy to share it with you.
Calm, sociable, and genuinely at ease with the world, he moves through his days at a gentle, unhurried pace that makes him a pleasure to be around.
He is naturally affectionate and takes the lead when he wants connection. Deboo will come to you, position himself nearby, and make it clear that pats are welcome. There is nothing demanding about it; he simply enjoys people and isn't shy about saying so.
A little about Deboo:
🐾 Cheerful and relaxed with strangers as well as familiar faces, and settles into new environments with minimal fuss
🐾 Gets along well with other cats and enjoys a good play session, including a fondness for batting at his housemate's tail
🐾 Happiest with a mix of cosy naps and short bursts of activity, particularly anything that moves
🐾 Requires daily eye wiping and regular grooming as part of his care routine, which he tolerates well
🐾 Will seek you out in the morning if breakfast is running late
Deboo's days have a satisfying rhythm. He rises early, checks his bowl, and if his humans are still in bed, he heads in for a polite reminder. The rest of the day is largely spent dozing in whichever spot he has claimed as his own, interspersed with spontaneous sprints and the occasional ambush of a string toy.
He has a lovely way of making himself at home. When left with a friend while his current carer travelled, it didn't take long before he had settled right in and was rolled onto his back, belly up, completely at ease. That is Deboo in a nutshell: thoughtful at first, relaxed very quickly.
Deboo is a genuinely social cat who enjoys having people around. He suits a household that appreciates a friendly, easy-going presence, and he is just as comfortable in a busy home as a quieter one.
Picture a Sunday afternoon with Deboo stretched out on the rug, entirely unbothered. A slow morning with him waiting patiently beside the kettle. An evening where a string toy appears, and he reminds you he has a playful side worth meeting.
Deboo's person appreciates a cat with genuine warmth and a relaxed temperament. He will find his spot in your home and make it feel like he was always there.
FAQ
Does Deboo need much looking after day to day?
He needs daily eye wiping and regular grooming, which is straightforward once you are in the habit. He is cooperative, and the routine keeps him comfortable and at his best.
How does he go with other cats?
Very well. He has lived happily alongside another cat and enjoys the company, including the occasional chase around the house and some tail-based mischief.
Is he a lap cat or more independent?
A bit of both. Deboo is affectionate and will seek you out for pats and company, but he is also happy to nap independently and does not need constant attention. He fits into a busy household just as easily as a quiet one.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
