this beautiful old girl is a special case looking for a special long term foster or adoptive family. Winter has spent the majority of her life on a chain to contain her and as an outdoor dog. She came in to care with a chronic skin condition and was very stressed and anxious. Winter was taken straight to our vet and in the last 3. 5 weeks has made amazing progress both physically and mentally. Her skin has started to heal and she has not once made any attempt to escape in any way, shape or form. She is looking for a family who can help her understand how to be an indoor dog and teach her how to settle. She has grown up with young children and other dogs and gets along with her foster brother but we feel it would be best if winter could join a stay at home family, retired family or work from home family to help her adjust to a new environment at the ease that she requires. Watching winter settle and let herself trust us has been amazing and for anyone that understands hounds and how sensitive they can be winter would be an amazing addition to their lives.
