Meet Pete the Panda, a very shy but incredibly sweet boy who is quietly hoping someone will see past his nervous exterior and give him the chance he deserves.

Shelter life has been a bit overwhelming for Pete. Change is hard for him, and in the adoption rooms he tends to retreat to the dark side of his condo where he feels safest. It's easy to overlook cats like Pete when they aren't the ones rushing to the front for attention, but underneath that fear is a truly lovely cat waiting for the right environment to let his guard down.

When Pete settles into a calm, quiet space and begins to feel safe, he slowly transforms into a beautiful companion. The shy little cat hiding away starts to show curiosity, sweetness, and a gentle nature that makes earning his trust feel incredibly rewarding.

Pete the Panda needs an adopter with patience, kindness, and the understanding that not every cat shows their best self in a shelter environment. Cats like him are so often passed over simply because they need a little extra time ... but those who take that chance are usually rewarded with the most special bonds of all.
