About Batholomew
Meet Batholomew Percivil Browning the Second - yes, the name is as grand as the gentleman himself. Beneath that very distinguished title is a shy, sensitive boy who is finding shelter life all a bit overwhelming right now.
Batholomew is quite shut down in the shelter environment, and while he's clearly interested in people, the noise, change, and stress around him make it hard for him to fully relax and show his true personality. What we have discovered, however, is that treats are an excellent way to earn his trust - and once he feels safe, he does enjoy gentle pats... on his terms, of course. Like any proper gentleman, he'll politely excuse himself once he's had enough.
This sweet boy is looking for a calm, understanding home that can give him the time and space he needs to settle in at his own pace. The best part? You won't be doing it alone, LDH is here to support adopters through those early "shy cat" days and help set both you and Batholomew up for success.
With patience, kindness, and a few strategically placed treats, we think there's a lovely cat waiting underneath that nervous exterior. Batholomew Percivil Browning the Second just needs someone willing to see past the fear and give him the chance he deserves.
Batholomew is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment.
