About Red
Looking for someone who worships the ground you walk on, makes you laugh every day and will stick by you no matter what? That someone just happens to be a 3 year old, red, female Australian Cattle Dog named (very creatively...) Red!
Red is the mother of the 'Ballroom Dance' puppies and did a great job raising those little chonkers. She's had a rough few months and is now looking for a kind and patient home to continue building her confidence.
She's a playful, energetic girl with a goofy, silly side. A typical velcro cattle dog, she loves to be with her people, pottering around in the garden, helping with chores in the paddock, or chilling inside. She has a great off switch, is well behaved inside and loves to curl up at your feet. Her ideal home would be one where her humans are home most of the time and can include her in daily life.
She's typical of her breed and bonds strongly with her people. She can take time to warm up to strangers but given time and space, she will soon be requesting pats and treats.
She has good basic manners and will benefit from further training. She comes when called, walks well on the lead and sits for her dinner. She sleeps quietly all night inside or outside.
She gets along with male and female dogs of a similar size but does best with calmer dogs. She could go to a home with or without another dog.
She would do best in a quieter environment, in a rural home without livestock and small children, or one with secure fencing that is willing to put the work into teaching her appropriate behaviour around livestock. Red is not suited to city or suburban living and is looking for a home on ideally a couple of acres or more. She is not suited to a home with free-range poultry and she has not been tested with cats.
***Red is located in VIC...
