CUDDLY BOY!
- Rue is a sweet boy who can be a little timid at first and may startle easily, but once he gets to know and trust you, his true personality shines.
- He’s incredibly playful and curious, always exploring his surroundings and entertaining himself with his favourite toys.
- He absolutely adores his food , and isn’t shy about letting you know when it’s mealtime! Expect some very cute, baby-like “demands” when he’s hungry.
- He gets along beautifully with other cats and will happily seek them out for cuddles. He has a soft spot for cosy blankets - that’s his cue to come over, make biscuits, and settle in for a nap with you.
- At night, he’s a total snuggle bug and loves curling up on your chest for a good sleep.
- He also has a playful habit of proudly carrying his toys (especially hair ties!) around the house like little treasures.

Please note: Rue has had his first vaccination. Conditions of his adoption are that he has his 2nd vaccination on 2/6/26 and is sterilised and microchipped at the age of 6 months in early August 2026. These procedure are covered in the adoption fee and must be done at an approved SAFE vet clinic in Busselton, Vasse or Bunbury.

Our adoption process includes a two-week trial period to ensure you and your adopted pet are the right fit.
 
The adoption fee of $330 includes desexing, vaccinations, microchip (including transfer of ownership), flea and worm treatment and vet check.

SAFE Busselton requests that all persons adopting a cat adhere to responsible containment practices.  As per the current Cat Laws in WA we encourage people to keep their rescued cat as a permanent indoor cat or with access to a safe cat run. It is no longer desirable to allow your cat to wander onto adjoining properties. Confident cats can also be trained to walk on a harness and lead. We ask that owners be responsible and keep their adopted cat safe at all times so that you will have a long and loving life together.  Information on cat enclosures can be found here: https://safe.org.au/catios

SAFE Busselton reserves the right to select adoptive homes based on “best fit” for the pet. Although all applications will be considered, being the first application will not necessarily provide an advantage as the adoption committee considers many factors when matching animals to their new home.
