Meet Leo, an 8-month-old Maltese boy with a gentle soul and lots of potential.

Leo came to us from the local pound, so his past is unknown. He appears to have had very little life experience or training before coming into care, so the world is still a big scary place for him.
Leo’s started learning the basics, including how to walk on a lead and he still has a long way to go with his training.
Leo gets along well with other dogs and cats, and having a doggy companion in the home may help build his confidence.

Leo is frightened of new people at first, this usually involves barking at them, though once he feels safe, he will come over to investigate. Once Leo knows and trusts you, he absolutely loves a cuddle and enjoys being close to his people.
Leo will need a patient and understanding home willing to continue his socialisation and training.

As a Maltese, he’ll also require regular grooming to keep his coat healthy and prevent matting.
With lots of training, socialisation and reassurance, Leo has the potential to grow into a wonderful, well mannered little pooch.
