About Izzy
Meet Izzy the adorable 6-year-old Tabby princess.
And prepare to fall completely and hopelessly in love.
Izzy is one of the most incredibly affectionate, ridiculously cuddly, and endlessly loving cats you will ever meet. This beautiful girl with her striking tan, black and white markings doesn’t just like people, she adores them.
She wants to be near you every single moment of the day. Your lap, your chest, your side, the space right next to you on the couch… if you’re sitting still for even a second, Izzy will be there, purring like a little motorboat and soaking up every bit of affection she can get.
She is a pure, unapologetic love bug. A non-stop cuddle machine. The kind of cat who will climb into your arms, press her face against yours, and melt into you as if the entire world disappears the moment she’s close to her person.
She “talks” to you in the sweetest little voice, demanding pets, head-butts, and endless scratches, and she will follow you from room to room just so she never has to be apart from you for long. If you’re looking for a cat who will make you feel like the absolute centre of her universe, Izzy is that cat, times ten.
Her previous cat dad loves her dearly and was heartbroken to say goodbye. After moving in with his partner and their two cats, the three felines simply could not settle together no matter how hard everyone tried. Rather than keep Izzy confined to separate areas of the house for the rest of her life, he made the kindest and most selfless decision: to find her a peaceful new home where she can once again be someone’s whole world.
Izzy is playful and full of life too. You’ll still catch her zooming around in joyful bursts, batting toys, and racing through the house with pure delight, but at her core she is a soft, devoted, velcro-style companion who just wants to love and be loved.
Ideal home
Izzy will thrive in a calm, low-stress household where she can be the one and only pet. She is best suited as a solo cat (no other cats or dogs). She would be happiest with patient, affectionate owner(s) who are home often and ready to receive (and return) an almost overwhelming amount of love. Older children only (teenagers and up).
Plenty of cosy spots, soft blankets, and a warm lap will make her the happiest girl alive.
Izzy is approximately 6 years old, has been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated, and is currently living with her amazing foster family in Carnegie.
If your heart is ready for a cat who will glue herself to you, purr her way into your soul, and love you with every fibre of her being, Izzy is waiting. She doesn’t just want a home, she wants you.
About Us
Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.
Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.
Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.
As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.
Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
How You Can Help
As a small, independent rescue, we depend entirely on the kindness and generosity of our supporters and animal lovers like you. We’d also love to connect with you on social media:

Following and sharing our pages helps us reach more potential adopters and supporters. If we can grow our audience, we’ll be able to generate a small ongoing income to sustain and expand the rescue.
We are always in need of foster carers. If you have a safe, loving temporary home and would like to help us care for a cat on their journey to their forever family, please get in touch. The more foster homes we have, the more cats we can save.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about Urban Feline Australia.

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward while at the same time making sure we are matching the right cat to the right home.
The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are able meet the cats needs and your home is a good fit for the cats personality.
From there we will organize a meet and greet the cats foster home where you will be able to see the cat in action and get a gauge of their personality.
Once you have adopted you new furry feline friend we offer ongoing support and you are welcome to contact us anytime if you have questions, concerns or need advice.
We work hard to make sure that each cat is a good fit for their new home but in the unlikely even that things do not work out we have a 21 day cooling off period and you are more than welcome to return the cat to us during that time.
We will happily refund 50% of the adoption fee or you are welcome to donate this refund to assist with the ongoing cost of the animals care.
