Davey is an approximately 11-week-old sweetheart with a soft nature, a playful little spirit, and the kind of affection that feels extra special because itās earned slowly and gently š„¹
At first, Davey can be a little shy around new people and unfamiliar environments. She likes to observe quietly from a safe hiding spot while she works out whether everything around her feels calm and trustworthy. Fast movements, loud sounds, or sudden approaches can make her nervous, so she truly thrives when given patience, gentleness, and time.
But once Davey begins to feel safe? Her beautiful personality starts to shine š¤
She transforms into a cuddly, affectionate little companion who actively seeks out lap snuggles and cosy evening cuddles. Her purr is surprisingly loud for such a tiny girlāyouāll hear it rumbling from across the room while she melts happily into affection.
Davey has a lovely balance of calmness and playfulness. While she enjoys peaceful naps in sunny spots or snoozing at the top of her cat tree, she also has a wonderfully silly side. One moment sheās quietly observing the roomā¦ the next sheās zooming across the furniture chasing invisible specks only she can see šš¾
She especially loves small toy balls she can push around the floor and dangling toys she can swat and leap after.
When it comes to affection, Davey absolutely adores gentle chin scratches, neck rubs, and little tickles around her ears. Once she trusts you, sheāll happily come looking for those special cuddle moments herself.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is as follows:
1. Submit an adoption application via our website at www.rescuecatsofmelbourne.com.au/adopt
2. We will be in touch with you within 48 hours if we wish to progress your application.
3. A meet and greet will then be organised so that you can meet your potential new family member!
4. Upon a successful meet and greet, an adoption day will be set for you to come and collect your new family member and sign all required paperwork
All of our cats come de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, worm treated and with a clean bill of health.
Our 10-Day Health Guarantee: We want you to feel confident in your new family memberās health. We offer a 10-day cooling-off period specifically for health-related concerns. If your kitten shows signs of a pre-existing illness (such as a respiratory infection or parasite) within the first 10 days of arriving home, please contact us immediately. During this window, you have the option to return the kitten for a full refund or work with our rescue team to ensure the kitten receives the necessary care. We are committed to transparency and the wellbeing of our cats.
