About Yaskween
Yaskween is a desexed female domestic medium hair available for adoption in Yarraville (Inner West, VIC).
Yaskween carries her toys through the house with a song of soft trills and chatter. It is part announcement, part conversation, and completely her own.
She is curious enough to keep track of everything happening around her, independent enough to fill her own day, and affectionate enough to claim a place beside you when evening arrives.
A little about Yaskween:
🐾 Loves serenading the household while carrying her toys
🐾 Lights up at a good window where she can monitor the neighbourhood
🐾 Adores chin scratches and relaxed time beside her people
🐾 Builds connection through trills, chatter and quiet companionship
🐾 Loves having both shared spaces and places of her own
Yaskween brings the easy rhythm of a good housemate and the warmth of a cat who notices when you return. She does not need to be at the centre of every activity, yet she is never far from the life of the household.
During the day, she can settle at a window, investigate her toys and decide which room deserves her attention. When you return, she has a welcome ready: a trill, a toy in the hallway and a place beside you on the couch.
Her affection has an easy shape. A chin scratch, a place beside you and a conversation of soft trills are all part of how she shares herself.
With unfamiliar people, Yaskween likes to take in the room before adding her voice. Give her the freedom to choose her moment, and you’ll find her personality begins to fill the space.
She has lived alongside other cats and may suit a compatible feline companion. She observes, follows the household rhythm, exchanges signals and joins in when the invitation feels right.
A dog-free home gives her curiosity room to move. She would suit someone who appreciates independent cats and enjoys affection that feels chosen rather than demanded.
A well-enriched indoor home with windows, toys and comfortable resting places gives her plenty to investigate. Secure or supervised outdoor time could be an optional addition for a household able to offer it safely.
Life with Yaskween looks like a toy appearing at your feet, a running commentary from the hallway and a cat padding over to check where you have settled for the evening.
She brings her own interests, her own voice and a warm place beside you.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
