About Barney
This handsome chap arrived into rescue a few weeks ago and has been enjoying the foster life but it's now time to find his family.
He currently weighs 17kg so we would expect a medium-large when fully grown is our best estimate.
The landshark days of nibbling on human flesh are behind him but he does like to chew on treasures he finds whether it be a leaf, tea towel or slippers. He proudly trots in to show you his latest find just hoping for the chase of it being retrieved.
He adores his toys, especially his squeaky duck, his Kong stuffed with treats or peanut butter, and his bone.
He is a very energetic little guy and gets extremely excited when visitors arrive as surely, they’re here to see Barney. He can jump up in his enthusiasm so something for his future family to consider if there are little people in the house.
He already knows how to sit, drop and wait patiently for his “ok” before eating his meals. He absolutely loves his food.
He likes to supervise absolutely everything. Shower time included. If the bathroom door is left open, expect the bathmat, towel or anything else within reach to disappear.
Toilet training is going well with only a very rare excitement accident.
He loves his walks and is very good on lead but is still getting used to car rides.
He is a true Velcro puppy and always wants to know where his people are.
Being social he has loved all the dogs he has met and behaves beautifully around other animals he has met at the vet.
Being the good boy, he is, he doesn’t bark at people walking past, dogs outside or even the postman, but strange noises can make him bark and apparently the yoghurt ad with the sheep on TV is highly offensive (future family please note 🤣)
Most importantly, he is such a loving little boy. Every morning starts with cuddles, and he absolutely melts for towel rubs after the rain and massages.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
