Meet Gerrard, the Standard Poodle gentleman with a heart full of love <3

When he came into our care, Gerrard was in a sorry state. Completely matted, skinny and so smelly that it was impossible to stay in the same room as him, he was in desperate need of help.

Gerrard had diarrhea, a mouth full of rotten, infected teeth, and a lump in his mouth caused by chronic infection. He had a cyst on his eye and, once his hair was clipped back, we discovered lots of infected cysts covering his entire body.

Gerrard had not seen a vet for many years and, at almost 10 years old, he was in terrible pain and feeling sick from the infection that he was trying so desperately to fight.

Despite everything he has been through, Gerrard just wants to be loved. He loves to hang out with his humans at home, go for a walk or a drive in the car, especially if he can have the window down a bit so that he can feel the breeze blowing.

Gerrard would do best in a calm home. He is not used to busy, unpredictable environments and he is still learning how to be a cherished pet. Gerrard will thrive in a loving home where he can gain confidence and enjoy the pampered life that he deserves.
