Solveig has lots of love to give. She is completely: loyal, goofy, and utterly devoted to the people she loves. She has come a long way since she first came into care and is a real success story in the making, but she is still very much a work in progress who needs the right home to keep growing.

She will thrive with someone who:

- Works from home or is around most of the day as she does not do well alone and will let the whole street know about it.

- Has experience with strong, energetic breeds and can handle a dog who is still learning her manners.

- Is patient and consistent, she is a smart girl who picks things up quickly, and with the right person she will only get better.

A few things to know before you meet her:

- Solveig is not a dog for households with young children. She is friendly, but she is big, bouncy, and gets very excited - she doesn’t know her own strength and could easily knock a small kid over without meaning any harm at all.

- She needs to be the only animal in the home. Other dogs are a no, and she would likely find other pets stressful too.

- She pulls on the leash and can be reactive when she spots other dogs, so she needs a confident handler who can manage her safely outside.

- She responds really well to training and just needs persistence and consistency to keep building on the great progress she has already made.
