About Cole
Meet Cole, a 2-year-old survivor, zoomie specialist, and certified good boy who has decided that sleep is optional and walking is more of a personal interpretation than a strict rule.
Cole came into care at The Lost Dogs' Home after a rough start, and our team noticed he had a bit of a funny gait. After investigation and treatment, he underwent a Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) surgery - a procedure that helps cats like Cole live comfortably by removing the damaged part of the hip joint. It means Cole will likely always have a distinctive little way of moving, let's call it his signature stride. Think less "perfect runway model," more "adorable little pirate with places to be."
And places to be he does have - especially at night. Cole has fully committed to the nocturnal lifestyle. While the rest of the world sleeps, he is busy hosting zoomie marathons, redecorating imaginary furniture layouts, and reminding you at 2am that joy is a sprint across the hallway for no reason whatsoever.
Despite everything he's been through, Cole is an incredibly sweet, tolerant boy. He takes handling and changes in stride, has a gentle nature, and genuinely enjoys human company, ideally on his terms, of course, which may or may not involve you being part of his midnight fitness program.
Cole is looking for a calm, understanding home that appreciates a cat with a bit of character, a bit of bounce, and a lot of heart. He's not "perfect" in the polished brochure sense .. he's better. He's real, resilient, and ridiculously endearing once you get to know him.
