About Lou
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- Kids over 8 years
- A grassed yard for zoomies
- Ideally another medium/large dog for companionship
- A quieter suburb or rural area for walking
Lou is a handsome boy with lovely amber eyes, who just wants to hang out with you!
He’s a sweet, loyal boy and loves cuddles from the people he knows – but is still shy around strangers. He has previously lived in a home, so of course he settles down and sleeps through the night until whatever time you get up. He is always very happy to greet you in the morning and have a cuddle.
He travels well in the car and happily jumps straight in without any assistance!
Lou enjoys his walks and doesn’t seem bothered by traffic, but he is wary of strangers and so is not a café hound. But he just LUVS getting pats and cuddles from the people he knows. Yep, he will come up and gently lean his head into you for a big head rub and cuddle. He loves human company and can always be found in whatever room you are in.
He is toilet-trained and uses a dog-door. He eats anything and licks his bowl clean!
He enjoys playing with his toys when the mood strikes him and will dance around a toy and keep pouncing on it in a cute/silly fashion making you laugh. Or he enjoys a zoomie in the backyard.
He is currently living happily with another male greyhound and would be best suited to a home with another greyhound or medium/large dog to give him confidence when out and about. He is fine with other dogs and has happily lived with a playful Husky. If he had a doggie companion, then he would probably cope with being left during the day if the home was with full-time workers. He could even be left inside (with access to outside) as he has not shown any destructive behaviour.
Do you have a loving home for Lou? He will reward you with devoted loyalty!
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
