About Toni
Meet Toni 🐾
DOB: 1 November 2025
Breed: Kelpie mix
Sex: Female
Weight: 11 kg
Toni is a sweet, gentle young girl with a beautiful calm nature and a very loving heart.
She is wonderful with children and is happy simply hanging out with them. She can become excited when her favourite people arrive — because she loves them, of course — but she settles quickly and is generally calm for most of the day.
Toni is also good with other animals. She loves playing with her foster carer’s dog and has been gentle with the cats.
She is very people-focused and likes to stay close to her humans. Her foster carer describes her as a little shadow, happily following along and being part of whatever is happening.
Although Toni is listed as a Kelpie mix, she is a softer, smaller type of young dog than many people might expect. She has a lovely longer, softer coat, and her vet has noted that there may be something long-haired and low-key in her mix — perhaps even a touch of long-haired Dachshund. Like many rescue dogs, her exact breed blend is our best guess.
Toni has also shown lovely manners around the home and yard. She can sit and stay, and has spent time in an unfenced front yard with her foster carer without running off. Even with gates open while the family was gardening, Toni simply stayed nearby.
She will still need the normal guidance, supervision and secure fencing expected for any young dog, but she has already shown herself to be calm, biddable and eager to stay close to her people.
Toni is not crate-trained but rarely has an accident at night. We can say she is 99% house-trained.
She walks nicely on-leash and is also happy to walk by your side when she’s off-leash.
Toni would suit a family, couple or individual looking for a loyal young dog who enjoys being part of everyday life. She would also likely enjoy having another friendly dog to play with.
