About Tahini and Baba Ghanoush
If you’ve ever thought, “maybe we should get another dog”… this is your sign. Why stop at one when you can have double the chaos, double the cuddles, and double the personality—all in one ready-made pair?
Tahini (5 years) and Baba Ghanoush (6 years) are a delightful duo of clumsy, snorty, snuggly pugs who have settled beautifully into foster care. They love their walks and a good play session, but are just as happy curling up nearby while you go about your day. They’re perfectly matched and bring twice the joy—with absolutely no concept of personal space.
Our ideal home
If you don’t mind a bit of fur and some classic pug snorting, these two will fit right in. They’re easygoing and would suit a single, couple, or family with older children. Like most pugs, they are very food motivated (obsessed, really), so their future family will need to keep a close eye on their diet.
Our energy level
They enjoy two good walks a day and are always keen to join in on adventures, though they don’t cope well in the heat. Once they’ve had their exercise, it’s back to lounging and snoozing, with the occasional burst of playful chaos. They can get a little rambunctious when the mood strikes.
Our suitability to children
They would prefer a home without very young children, as they can be a bit mouthy during play.
Our suitability to other pets
They haven’t been tested with cats, but they absolutely love other dogs. That said, not all dogs understand pug communication, so supervision and awareness of body language is important.
A little more about us
Everything about these two is peak pug energy—from zoomies to playtime to generally tripping over themselves and each other. Tahini is convinced it’s her life’s mission to bark at passing airplanes (and proudly believes she’s successfully chased them off every time). Baba Ghanoush is a big softie who will make sure you never forget he’s due for attention and affection.

Please use these links rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
