About Sara
Name: Sara
AMK 4902
Female
DOB 10.9.25
I require special humans who are willing to go the extra mile for me. Also, I must always remain inside.
She is very loving and loves nothing more than one on one attention. As soon as one of us lies down on the sofa or bed she immediately comes and sits with or on top of us and purrs loudly. She soaks up cuddles and attention. She is pretty much a lap cat.
She also likes to snuggle up to the other cats and will also engage in little play sessions. Nothing too wild but the occasional little chases through the tunnel or chasing a toy.
I have never seen her panting or anything, so her condition is not obvious like it was when she was younger. When she is excited, you can feel her heart murmur I believe.
She is easily startled by sudden noises and needs a mostly quiet home where she can feel safe but have someone who has lots of time for her.
She loves nibbling on cat grass and sniffing on catnip and herbs.
She loves window watching.
She is very friendly, very smoochy, loves attention, calls out to me through the window when I go outside. While wild play is not suitable, she certainly is curious and enjoys just being included in whatever you are doing.
She likes watching TV with us, especially calming cat music videos on YouTube. And nature shows. 🤣
Oh...and she loves food and will try to steal food from your plate. 🤣
She got very stressed in the car when she was taken to the vet, and I don't think she should be adopted to anyone who lives to far away because of this.
Not recommended for a home with kids, as being calm the majority of the time is key to a longer life. She is currently housed with two adults and a quite teenager, for context.
Sara has a significant heart murmur. As anaesthetic would be dangerous, she can't be desexed. She has recently been injected with a long-lasting contraceptive, which will need to be updated by her forever humans as it runs out.
It is likely she might not live a long life. However, with proper care, our Vet has said she could have
a good life for as long as 6 or 7 years.
Some considerations we will taking for her new home.
* A quiet calm home with little active stimulation.
* No young children or frequently visiting active grandchildren.
At Adopt Me Kittens, we believe there is a place in the world for every cat, even the special ones like Sara.
Sara's adoption fee is $220. Special terms and conditions apply.
Medical notes
Sara was born with a heart murmur. She cannot be desexed as a result, so has been injected with a long-lasting contraceptive.
