About Polly
Meet Polly! Polly is a gentle and easygoing kelpie who prefers life in the slower lane. While she has all the classic kelpie smarts and instincts, Polly can be a relaxed companion who enjoys affection, cosy naps and spending time with her people. She can be a little shy at first, but once comfortable she is affectionate and enjoys pats and attention. She also has great foundational toilet training and knows cues like sit, stay and shake.
Like many working breed dogs, Polly has a strong chase instinct and is best suited to a home without cats or small animals. She would thrive in a calm home with a secure yard, gentle guidance and adopters who understand kelpie traits and can help her settle in gradually. Polly may enjoy living with another easygoing dog, though she's more of a quiet companion.
If you're looking for a sweet, loyal dog with a soft nature and an old soul, come in and meet Polly today!
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
