If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if you mixed a kangaroo, a comedian, a landscaper, and a puppy together… meet Luca.

Luca is an 8-month-old Kelpie x Mastiff with giant Dumbo ears, long gangly legs, and enough personality to keep an entire household entertained. He’s goofy, affectionate, clever, chaotic in the most lovable way, and still figuring out how this whole “being a dog” thing works.

💥 Current hobbies include:
• Excavating the backyard with professional-level commitment
• Destroying fluffy toys in under 3 minutes
• Playing chasey with his dog mates
• Vacuuming up snacks like it’s an Olympic sport
• Looking adorable while pretending not to hear you

Like many working breed youngsters, Luca has energy to burn and a brain that always wants a job. He’s still building confidence in the world and can become vocal when he feels unsure or overwhelmed. Fear barking is something he’s currently working through, and with consistency, patience, and reassurance, he is making amazing progress every single day.

Once Luca trusts you, his sweet nature shines through. He approaches new people with curiosity, loves affection, and is incredibly gentle taking treats. Despite his size and enthusiasm, he doesn’t jump all over people and genuinely wants to please.

🐶 Luca LOVES other dogs and thrives in canine company. He currently lives happily with:
✨ a 2-year-old American staffy
✨ an 18-month-old Kelpie x German Shepherd
✨ two senior Maltese terriers
✨ and two 8 month old Bull Terrier x foster brothers

He would absolutely benefit from a confident doggy friend in his forever home.

Like any teenage pup still learning boundaries, Luca can sometimes get a bit opinionated about sleeping arrangements and “whose bed is whose” (despite there being 10+ beds available 🙄). He responds well to correction, settles nicely in a crate when needed, and continues to improve with structure and guidance.
