At 5 years old, Lexi is a gentle, affectionate girl who truly shines once she feels safe and comfortable. She may take a little time to warm up to new people and unfamiliar situations (the vet is not her favourite place!), but with patience and understanding, her classic goofy Labrador personality comes bubbling to the surface. And when it does, it's absolutely worth the wait.

Lexi is looking for an experienced home that can guide her with confidence and kindness. She already knows her basic cues like sit and down, and she's eager to keep learning. She would really benefit from some continued work on her foundation skills-especially loose-lead walking, as she can get quite enthusiastic (and strong!) on the lead.

Now, let's address Lexi's most lovable feature-she's a big girl, and we mean it! She's currently on a journey to a healthier weight and will need a family committed to helping her slim down through controlled portions and gentle daily exercise. Think steady walks, a bit of playtime, and lots of encouragement along the way.

Lexi would suit an experienced individual, couple, or family with school-aged children who can respect her space as she builds confidence. She has previously lived with both children and other dogs, and could happily join a home with a canine companion or lap up all the attention herself. She hasn't been tested with cats.
