About Barney
Meet Barney, an absolutely adorable young pup who's as cute as he is cheeky. A Jack Russell Terrier mix, Barney came into the world on March 16, 2023, and he hasn't stopped exploring since. At 1.8 kilograms, this little ball of energy is ready to find a loving family to grow up with.
Barney is a typical puppy with boundless enthusiasm for life. His day is filled with playful antics, eager snacking, and, of course, those precious nap times to recharge his little batteries. Whether he's chasing toys, bouncing around the garden, or snuggling up for a snooze, Barney's zest for life is evident in everything he does.
While Barney hasn't been house-trained yet, he's at the perfect age for learning new things and forming lasting bonds. With a bit of patience and consistency, he'll undoubtedly grow into a well-mannered companion. Though he hasn't been tested with cats, Barney's playful and friendly demeanor suggests he has the potential to be an adaptable new addition.
Barney would make an excellent family pet, bringing endless joy and energy to a home eager to raise a playful pup. If you're ready to welcome an endearing, pint-sized bundle of fun into your life, Barney could be the perfect match for you.
Barney is only a baby, please do not apply if you are not interested in supporting him and helping him to settle once he has left the shelter.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
