About Rowan
Over the past few months, Rowan has been recovering from a major procedure with the support of his wonderful foster carers, and he’s now ready to find a loving home of his own.
Rowan is a sweet, active little man with plenty of personality who loves getting out and about and spending time with his people. He’s also a big fan of other dogs his size and could happily share his home with a canine companion pending a successful meet and greet.
Due to a recent back leg amputation and hip surgery on his remaining back leg, Rowan will need a home without stairs and with adopters committed to continuing his rehabilitation plan to help build his strength, balance, and confidence.
As he adjusts, Rowan can be a little sensitive to touch around parts of his body, so his new family will need to be mindful of his boundaries and help manage this thoughtfully. A home with teenagers upwards would be prefered.
Rowan is currently in foster care, so meets are via scheduled appointments only.
If you think you could offer this resilient little guy the supportive and caring home he deserves, we’d love to hear from you.
Medical notes
Amputation of right hindleg. Femoral head/neck excision of left hindleg
