About Cous Cous
š¾ Meet Cous Cous š¾
Cous Cous is a 10-year-old girl with a story thatās both heartbreaking and full of hope. Five years ago, she was left behind when her owner moved away. Since then, sheās been surviving outdoors, cared for by kind tenants who made sure she was fedābut sheās never truly had a home or felt safe again.
Recently, Cous Cous was brought into care with the hope of giving her the stable, loving life she deserves. After everything sheās been through, sheās understandably traumatised. She can be defensive when she feels scared or overwhelmedābut beneath that fear is a cat who is deeply craving affection and connection.
Cous Cous is looking for a very special kind of home:
* A calm, quiet environment
* No children and no other pets
* An experienced, patient owner who understands that trust takes time
She hasnāt been able to settle in with other cats and becomes distressed around them, so she truly needs a home where she can be the only pet and feel safe.
This is not an easy placementābut for the right person, Cous Cous has so much love to give. With patience, understanding, and consistency, she has the potential to blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion.
Her current carers adore her and wish they could keep her, but with a new baby arriving soon, they have to make the incredibly difficult decision to find her a safer, more suitable environment.
If you have a quiet home, a gentle approach, and the heart to help a wounded soul learn to trust again, Cous Cous could be the one for you. š

Adoption details
Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
Thank you again for your interest in one of our rescue cats!
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
