At just 5 months old, this gorgeous Cattle Dog cross has come such a long way in foster care. While he's shy when meeting new people, once he knows he's safe you’ll see his cheeky, playful personality shine through. When he’s tired he’d love to snuggle with with his favourite humans for cuddles. This loving, loyal boy will be your devoted shadow. Stumpy is the kind of pup who loves to be busy, adores his dog friends, and is always up for an adventure, especially if there's water involved!
Stumpy is super clever and a quick learner.
🐾 Fully toilet trained.
🦮 Walks beautifully on the lead.
🧠 Super clever and learns new things incredibly quickly.
🎓 Knows sit and stay and is already learning spin.
🛏️ Sleeps happily in his crate or on his own bed.
💉 Fully vaccinated and ready for his forever home.
💦 Loves a splash in the dam whenever he gets the chance.
👧 Absolutely adores kids.
🐕 Loves other dogs and would thrive with a confident canine companion.
🌾 Has the smarts and drive of a working breed and would love a home that keeps him active and engaged and enriched.

What Stumpy needs...
A patient family who understands that confidence takes time to build. Someone who'll let him settle in at his own pace, continue his positive force free training and socialisation, and a home with another friendly dog to help show him the world. An active home where he can use his clever mind and be included in family adventures would suit him perfectly.

His adoption fee is $800 which includes his first two vaccinations and desexing when he is 6 months old. He has been treated for fleas, ticks and worms, and is microchipped.
He is in foster care in Wallsend, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing by 6 months old.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal
cheques.
