Aubry & Missy are beautiful twin sisters who share a bond that has carried them through a difficult beginning in life. Abandoned and having experienced very little human love or companionship, they entered our care unsure of the world around them and cautious of the people in it.
While trust does not come easily to the girls, they are slowly learning — day by day — that humans can offer kindness, safety, gentle voices, and most importantly, reliable meals. Their progress may be gradual, but it is incredibly rewarding to witness. Every small step forward is hard-earned and meaningful.
Aubry & Missy rely heavily on one another for comfort and confidence, drawing reassurance from their special bond as they continue navigating the world together. Because of this, they must be adopted as a pair into a calm and understanding home willing to continue helping them build trust at their own pace.
The girls are still on a long journey toward feeling truly safe and secure, so they need a quiet household without children or dogs, where patience and compassion are in endless supply. They are not cats who will immediately curl up in your lap or seek constant attention, but for the right person, the experience of watching them slowly blossom will be something truly special.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
