About Lady
Hello there! I'm Lady, and I'm officially accepting applications for my forever family.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR LADY
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM

My Ideal Home:
• Familiarity and understanding of my breed traits would be highly valued.
• I'll need daily exercise - walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy.
• I want to be part of the family indoors - not left outside without interaction.
• Secure fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent) is essential to keep me safe.
• I'd love plenty of toys and mental enrichment to keep my busy mind occupied.
• A good-quality dry food diet will help support my dental health.
• Regular grooming and brushing will keep me looking and feeling my best.
• Most importantly, I'm looking for lots of love and attention from my family.
• I had a sheltered start and can be shy in new situations, continued socialisation will really help build my confidence. I'm already becoming braver at the shelter!
• Because I can be shy in new situations, a home without little ones (under 10) who may accidentally startle me would suit me best.
• Taking me to new places, introducing me to all sorts of people, dogs, and other animals will help me grow into a confident, well-adjusted dog.
• Training, training, training - it's essential that I receive consistent guidance in every aspect of my life so I can become the very best companion as I mature.
• A calm, gentle dog companion would suit me, as boisterous dogs can be overwhelming. I'll benefit from gradual, positive socialisation - or, if I'm your only dog, regular opportunities to socialise with other dogs.
• With a slow and thoughtful introduction, I may be able to live with a gentle, quiet cat.
My Paw-some Perks:
• Once I trust you, I enjoy attention, cuddles, hugs, kisses and head scratches, the more time I spend with you, the more comfortable I will become, which will help me be a more affectionate pup. And I'm quite partial to snoozing on the couch with my human.
• I'm highly food motivated, which makes training lots of fun and helps me learn quickly.
• I'm gentle and placid in nature, but I haven't had any formal training yet, so I'll need help with all my basic manners and life skills.
Training & Support Needs:
• I've only recently started learning to walk on lead at the shelter. I'm improving every day, but I can still be a little slow, erratic or fearful at times. With patience and regular walks, I'll soon gain confidence and enjoy my daily strolls.
• I'm shy when meeting new people and in unfamiliar environments, and I can be extremely timid when entering buildings or homes. I'll need a patient family who will allow me indoors, move at my pace, and gently build my confidence through ongoing socialisation.
• I may initially shy away from things going over my head (like a lead), but I warm up quickly with each day.
• I'm not housetrained yet, as I haven't previously been allowed inside, so I'll need guidance and consistency to learn, and I would truly love to be included as part of the family and spend time inside with my people.
Please Note: You'll only be able to meet Lady if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and any dogs currently in the home must attend as well
