About Stanley
Meet Stanley š¾
Stanley is a beautiful, gentle soul looking for a loving and understanding forever home. Blind since birth, Stanley experiences the world a little differently, but that doesnāt slow him down from enjoying lifeās simple pleasures.
He absolutely loves being around water (as long as itās only shallow, heās more of a paddler than a swimmer!) and enjoys going for walks where he can explore at his own pace. Stanley is both house-trained and crate-trained, with his crate being his safe haven, a place he can retreat to when he needs a little quiet time.
Stanley is desexed, microchipped, and has undergone gastropexy surgery to help prevent GDV, so his health needs have been thoughtfully taken care of.
He gets along well with other dogs and cats, and while he hasnāt been tested with farm animals, his calm nature suggests he should adapt well. Stanley is also great with kids, though in homes with very young children, itās important to be mindful of his blindness, he may occasionally bump into someone, but he is generally very aware of his surroundings.
Because Stanley is blind, he will need a patient and compassionate home that understands he may take a little time to adjust to a new environment. New spaces can feel overwhelming at first, but once he feels safe, his sweet and affectionate personality really shines. Heāll do best with a family who will give him the space he needs and allow him to come to them when heās ready.
Stanley isnāt just looking for a home, heās looking for someone who will see how special he truly is. š

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
