Bailey is a very handsome young Border Collie with a gentle, mild-mannered nature and loads of potential.
Having grown up as a non-working farm dog, his world has been quite limited. He hasnât had much socialisation, hasnât been inside a home, and is still learning about everyday things like walking on a lead.
He can be shy when meeting new people, but with a little time and patience, his sweet nature starts to shine through. Heâs had no exposure to children or cats.
What Bailey does have in his favour is everything youâd hope for in the breedâhe is very dog friendly, highly intelligent, and eager to learn. He takes confidence from other dogs, so he would benefit enormously from living with a calm, friendly canine companion who can help show him the ropes.
Bailey is looking for a home where he can transition from farm life to being a much-loved family companion. He is not being rehomed as a working dog.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the âmeet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
If you are interested in one of our cats or kittens, please click on the green "Enquire about ...", button, tell us a bit about yourself and the home you can offer the cat, and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
