About TJ
Meet TJ!
He is a sweet, sensitive and affectionate boy who loves to cuddle. Hand raised from just two weeks old after a challenging start to life, TJ is one of our miracle puppies.
TJ is a little less adventurous than his sisters and tends to take things in before jumping straight into new experiences. TJ can be nervous and unsure about new situations. We are working hard on developing his confidence and resilience and he has been doing great.
TJ is highly intelligent and a typical high energy Border Collie. A short walk and suburban backyard won’t be enough to fulfil him. In care he spends his days going for drives, swimming in the dam, digging in the sandpit and playing with other dogs on acreage. (And still manages to cause chaos!)
TJ is fantastic with other dogs, although can play rough, so is best suited to another younger dog of a similar size or bigger. He currently lives in a large pack and thrives with canine companions, so we are looking for a home with another dog.
TJ is being socialised with a variety of animals, including cats, livestock, pocket pets, other dogs and poultry. Although true to this breed, he does tend to meet small animals by nipping them first. Because of this, if he goes to a home with a cat or other animals, they will need to experienced around dogs.
As a Border Collie, TJ will thrive in a home that values training, routine, and mental enrichment.
Socialisation & temperament:
- Well socialised with other dogs
- Good with dog-savvy children
- Socialised with cats, livestock and pocket pets
- Affectionate, people focused
🏡 Ideal home:
- Herding breed experienced homes ONLY
- A confident doggy companion
- Committed to ongoing training and enrichment
- Understanding of the needs of a working breed
Health note: TJ has a severe overbite which has been assessed by our veterinary team. It will need to be monitored as he grows and his new owners will need to very vigilant with dental care. He will need his teeth brushed regularly and at least yearly dental cleanings at a vet clinic.
At this stage it is not causing him any issues with eating, however his future owners will need to be aware of it and continue to monitor it throughout his life.
TJ is a lovely young pup with a great foundation and a bright future ahead. If you feel you can offer him the right environment to thrive, we’d love to hear from you.

In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
