Veya came to us via the pound and initially requested a single cat household only, but sometimes that's not possible. We are bursting at the seams and couldn't give into her demands so she's been mingling with some other cats. She does like to be the boss and likes having extra food bowls around so she doesn't need to share, but we can't blame her for that, we don't like sharing food either!

She's bonding quite with the resident kitten, Crud, and they somed many hours rough playing and chasing each other around the house. They'd make a great couple if black cats are your vibe and you're looking to start an instant family. She'd be more than happy to go back to being a solo cat though and having you all to herself.

Veya is super affectionate and will happily come for cuddles and rub herslef all over you, she also enjoys snuggling in bed and loves to be tucked under the blanket. She is a keen biscuit maker and also loves to suck on fluffy blankets or toys, so be prepared for a doggy blanket or dressing gown. 😂

She's part of a busy house with kids, cats and dogs and she'll use her voice to let you know if something is upsetting her. There are no sneak attacks from this lady, she'll give a growl to let you know if something is bothering her and then continue to go about her day. She originally came to us with a strong dislike of other cats, but unfortunately space is very limited so she's had to adjust to living with lots of other cats. She's done really well and actually enjoys a good play fight with a younger kitten, but she'd definitely be happy to go to a home on her own where she can go back to being the queen she truely wants to be.

Veya is strictly an indoor cat, but despite knowing this she continues to push the boundaries and the doors to escape. She doesn't get far and just enjoys a nibble on the grass and a roll on the dirt, but to make sure the wildlife are kept safe from her hunting ways she needs to either be in a home where people are fast getting in and out of the house or provide her with a secure catio where she can live her best life baking in the sunshine safely whilst also having full access to the house.

If you're local to the Port Hedland are we can arrange a meet and greet with her once an application has been sent through, but if you're further away we can set up phone call with her carers.

I CAN FLY TO PERTH!

Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to Perth.
