About 12950 - Mopsie
😇🐈⬛ MEET MOPSIE 🐈⬛😇
Nature
Hi everyone, I’m Mopsie, but my Foster Mum calls me “a perfect angel who can do no wrong” and honestly, when she’s right, she’s right.
I can be a little shy at first, but once I’m comfortable with you, I become your chirpy cuddle companion and the lap cat of your dreams! My Foster Mum even nicknamed me “Flopsie Mopsie” because one of my FAVE things is flopping over and snuggling into you.
You might notice that I walk with a slightly wonky stride — that’s just because of my asymmetrical spine. But don’t worry about me! Nothing stops me from climbing to the tippity top of the cat tree, running, jumping, and playing with my brother and my feline friends. I’ve even been told my subtle wobble just adds to my charm!
I’ve got so much love to give and can’t wait to find a furever family who loves me just the way I am.
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I prefer a calmer environment, so a more mature home would suit me best.
I really enjoy the company of other cats and would love to make some new feline friends!
I haven’t met any dogs yet, but with slow and gentle introductions, I think I could be friends with a cat-savvy dog.
Likes / Dislikes
I love playtime and climbing, but cuddling up next to you and my kitty cat friends is my idea of the perfect day.
My PURR-fect home would be a little quieter so I can feel comfortable enough to come out of my shell. I’m just a gentle little girl looking for a gentle little home.
Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.

12950 - Mopsie
Gender: Female
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Colour: Black
DOB: 03/10/2025
Adoption Fee: $275
*Mopsie’s adoption fee includes vet check, sterilisation, vaccination, microchip, flea and worm treatment.
Medical Notes: Mopsie has an unusual walk caused by congenital (birth-related) changes in her lower spine and tail. X-rays confirmed an asymmetrical vertebra at L7–S1 (the bone at the lower end of the spine is shaped unevenly, affecting how the spine and nerves in that area work) and a malformation/fusion in the second and third tail bones. She shows no signs of pain, however, as she gets older, there is a moderate risk of age-related changes in the lower spine that could cause discomfort and require treatment.
🐾 Perth Rescue Angels recommends Advantage and Advocate from Elanco Animal Health for all of your new furry family members’ flea and worming needs.
🐾 Perth Rescue Angels recommends Royal Canin for high-quality nutrition to help keep your new furry family members happy, healthy, and thriving.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
