Miiko

Miiko has only just come into care and you can tell she’s still trying to understand how she got here.

There’s something very special about her. It’s like she can’t quite believe she’s safe, warm, and loved. She watches everything softly, takes it all in, and then leans into affection like it’s something she’s missed for a very long time.

And the moment you pat her she switches on. Her head goes up, her green eyes grow brighter and she purrs loudly, like her whole body is saying thank you.

Miiko is incredibly sweet, gentle, and still a little bit shy. Once she must have been someone's pet, because although she's shy, she's also very comfortable around you when she gets to know you.

She’s also discovering something new to her - toys! It seems as though Miiko has never played with toys before. She started out so tentative, but now she just loves the cat wands and chasing ping pong balls around.

Miiko lives peacefully with the other cats in foster care and is very polite and respectful around them. She’s a quiet, lovely presence who still keeps to herself.

When she was younger, it appears that Miiko broke her foot. Sadly, without any vet care, it's healed crooked and the joint is fused. This causes her to limp but thankfully, there's no pain and it doesn’t slow her down from living a happy, comfortable life. As she grows old, it's likely that she'll develop arthritis in the joint.

Her beautiful, medium length fur will continue to grow more luscious as she is regularly groomed, eats good food and lives inside.

Miiko is one of those cats who quietly steals your heart before you know it. She’s ready for a home where she’ll never have to question her safety again and where she can keep playing, keep trusting, and keep purring.
