Looking for a dog who will truly be your dog? Meet Lucy.

Lucy is a 28kg German Shepherd mix with a beautiful fluffy coat and an even more beautiful nature. She’s incredibly sweet, highly intelligent, and deeply people-focused—the kind of dog who forms a strong bond and just wants to be by your side.

She may be a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, her loyalty shines through. Lucy is everything you’d expect from a shepherd—devoted, eager to please, and happiest when she’s part of your daily life.

✨ The dream companion:
Lucy is fully house-trained and toilet trained, with lovely indoor manners. She walks perfectly on lead (no pulling!) and can even go loose lead with ease. She’s very responsive to commands and loves to learn—especially when treats are involved 😌

🎾 Playful & trainable:
Lucy LOVES playing fetch and enjoys her toys. She’s food-motivated, which makes her a fantastic, trainable companion for someone willing to continue building on her great foundation.

🐕 Dog & home life:
Lucy is dog selective and much prefers human company over canine friendships. She would thrive as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all your attention ❤️
That said, she has walked with other dogs at the pound, and pending meet & greets with calm, desexed male dogs, she may be suitable—but this will depend on the match.

🚫 No cats (no history and strong play drive)

👨‍👩‍👧 Family life:
Lucy has previously lived with young children (under 5) and has shown she can fit into a family environment.

🏡 Home requirements:

Must be allowed inside the home and sleep indoors at night
Secure yard (she has not attempted to jump fences in care)
An owner committed to giving her stability, guidance, and love

She has a great balance of independence and affection—happy to relax on her own at times, but always wanting to be included in home life.
