Meet Leroy, a charming and lovable Staffy mix with a personality that perfectly matches his delightful new name (previously named Fatboy 😢)! Despite his current health journey, Leroy possesses a happy and contagious spirit that will melt your heart.
At 8 years old, he is seeking a patient and loving family who can provide him with the gentle care and support he needs. Recently undergoing a thorough vet check, including blood tests and vaccinations, Leroy is ready to embark on a new chapter towards a healthier lifestyle. With his first weigh-in at 52 kg, he's starting a regimen of little walks and a better diet to shed those extra kgs (about 20kg?) and reveal the energetic pup within.
Leroy would thrive best in a home without stairs, where he can comfortably navigate and enjoy the company of his new family. This affectionate boy loves to spread joy and seeks a home where his zest for life can be cherished and nurtured. Meeting Leroy in person will undoubtedly bring a smile to your face and show you just how special he is.

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
