Ianthe (pronounced "eye-an-thee") is a young lady with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. This sweet, energetic girl absolutely thrives on connection and loves being included in whatever her people are doing—whether that’s playtime, training, or just hanging out together.

Still learning about the world, Ianthe can be a little timid in new situations. But once she feels safe, her confidence shines through and her curious, playful personality takes over—she’s soon into everything and ready for fun!

Ianthe is making great progress with her training, but she’ll need a committed family willing to continue guiding her through the basics and helping her grow into a well-mannered adult dog.

She adores children and has the potential to make a wonderful family companion. Like many heelers, she can get overexcited by fast movement and squealing, which may trigger her instinct to nip at heels. For this reason, a home with dog-savvy children aged 8+ would suit her best.

Ianthe would be perfectly happy as an only dog, soaking up all the attention, but she’s also very dog-friendly and would enjoy having a calm, well-mannered canine sibling to help show her the ropes and model polite play.

She is very interested in cats and currently sees them as a fun chase game, so a cat-free home is preferred at this stage, or one committed to ongoing, careful training.

Ianthe will thrive in an active home that can match her energy, provide consistent guidance, and include her as part of the family. In return, she’ll offer endless affection, loyalty, and plenty of joyful moments.
