Shiitake (or Take, as he's known) is a playful boy who's is full of energy, fun and purrs. He loves to snuggle with any and all of the other animals in his foster home and purrs instantly the moment he is picked up.

Shiitake is a sweet boy and has the most striking, soulful eyes. This is a boy who's full of life and is ready to take on the world - oh, and a new home!

MEDICAL NOTES
Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchip including the transfer of ownership, and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age (see list below).

*Kittens may require further vaccination(s) to complete the full vaccination course. This will be at the cost of the new owner and is not included in the adoption fee. Please enquire for more information.

Please note: this kitten came from a home where other cats had ringworm, so was previously treated for the condition while in foster care. Ringworm is a common fungal skin condition seen in young animals and is not caused by worms. It is treatable and, in many cases, resolves with appropriate care and time.

Although this kitten didn't have ringworm, as an added precaution, SAFE requires a veterinary examination prior to adoption to confirm there are no active signs of ringworm before they leave care.

As with many skin conditions in young animals, there is a small possibility of occurrence, particularly during times of stress or if the immune system is compromised. Adopters should monitor their kitten’s skin and coat and seek veterinary advice if any new hair loss, scaly patches, or skin changes are noticed. Veterinary care after adoption is the responsibility of the adopter.

ADOPTION DETAILS
To apply to adopt, please complete a SAFE Cat Adoption Enquiry Form via our website. You will be advised if your chosen kitten is still available and then put in contact with the carer for a chance to ask further questions. If a meet-and-greet is then arranged, we will email the adoption paperwork and payment instructions to you prior to this. Please note payment must be made before adoption trial starts and we are unable to take cash payment.

Our adoption process includes a two-week trial to ensure your chosen pet is the right fit for your home. After a successful trial period, SAFE Bunbury will arrange transfer of ownership on your new pet's microchip and email copies of their vet records out to you.

When adopting a kitten under 6 months old, one of the following approved vet clinics should be selected by the adopter to arrange for his/her sterilisation by the age of 6 months. The sterilisation surgery is included in the adoption fee:
