Mikey is a truly special little boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He just needs the right person to help it shine. When he first came into care, was extremely scared and unsure of people. With time, patience, and gentle handling, he has made incredible progress and is now part of everyday family life. He even sleeps on the bed at night - something that once would have been impossible for him.

Mikey is an extremely clever, playful boy: almost dog-like in his personality. He’s curious, engaging, and would thrive with someone who enjoys interacting with him and building a strong bond. He is still a sensitive soul and can be wary of new people or situations. He may occasionally react with a quick paw when unsure or caught up in play, so he’ll need someone who understands his boundaries and lets him build trust at his own pace.

Once he trusts you, Mikey truly wants to be your friend. He forms a deep, meaningful bond with his person; it just takes a little time to get there.

Mikey would do best in:

* A calm, patient home
* A family willing to give him time to settle and build trust
* A home with older children (not suited to young kids)

Mikey isn’t an instant cuddle kitten, but for the right person, he will be an incredibly rewarding and loyal companion.

* If you already have pets in your home, a slow and gradual introduction is a must, to ensure your pets and your new kitten have the best chance at a successful integration

MEDICAL NOTES
Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchip including the transfer of ownership, and sterilisation.

*Kittens may require further vaccination(s) to complete the full vaccination course. This will be at the cost of the new owner and is not included in the adoption fee. Please enquire for more information.

ADOPTION DETAILS
To apply to adopt, please complete a SAFE Cat Adoption Enquiry Form via our website. You will be advised if your chosen kitten is still available and then put in contact with the carer for a chance to ask further questions. If a meet-and-greet is then arranged, we will email the adoption paperwork and payment instructions to you prior to this. Please note payment must be made before adoption trial starts and we are unable to take cash payment.

Our adoption process includes a two-week trial to ensure your chosen pet is the right fit for your home. Vet records will be sent after the two week adoption trial period is complete. We will send the microchip change of ownership form to the relevant microchip company, who will notify you once the transfer has completed.
