Ash

Ash is a stunning 2-year-old tan Kelpie cross with all the brains and heart you’d expect from the breed. She’s a switched-on, active girl who really loves being involved in whatever her people are doing.

She’s fully house trained, crate trained, and walks beautifully on lead. She travels well in the car and enjoys getting out and about. She’s generally good with other dogs when she’s out on walks or adventures, and being a Kelpie, she’s quick to learn and does well with clear guidance and routine.

Ash has a fun, outdoorsy side too — she absolutely loves the water and will happily tag along for beach trips, creek walks, or anything that lets her explore. At home she’s usually well behaved, though if she’s feeling a bit left out or unsettled she might chew her bed. She really does best when she’s included and part of the daily routine.

She’s a very affectionate dog who forms a strong bond with her person. She’ll likely do best as an only dog where she can soak up all the attention and not have to share her space.

Like a lot of clever working dogs, she comes with a few quirks. She can be reactive to some dogs through fences, especially if they’re a bit full-on, and she can resource guard her food and toys. She’s also not suited to a home with chickens. With the right structure and someone confident handling her, this is all very manageable.

In the right home, Ash will be an incredibly loyal and loving companion — the kind of dog who just wants to be by your side and part of your world.
